Following on from our previous fishing themed news stories, Richard and Jane did indeed get to the River Usk in September, again to be thwarted by the River Gods. Following the longest drought in decades and low water levels in the river it was expected the fishing would be cancelled; however heavy rain for three days prior caused extremely high water levels and coloured water - no good for fishing really. They did spend a pleasant morning trying on the Gliffaes Beat in stunning countryside. Better luck in 2023?!
