In order to keep our “fishing fascinated followers” updated, Richard and Jane have persevered in their quest to capture their first salmon and once again hiked north to the River Deveron in Aberdeenshire. Having ‘won’ their first day’s fishing in the Annual Atlantic Salmon Trust Auction they enjoyed two days fishing with the assistance of “Carl the Ghillie” in conditions which favoured catching a sun tan as opposed to catching a salmon. On this occasion the salmon again eluded them, although as can be seen from the photograph, Richard was able to at least show that he hooked and landed a trout or two, though certainly not big enough to be considered ‘one for the pot’.

The trip concluded in Glencoe once again; this time via Torridon and Applecross.
Needless to say the hunt for a gullible salmon continues!
